It's especially frustrating when it's the end of March and you're hoping for 50's or warmer and you get stuck back in the 30's for the last two weeks of the month.. Then to make things worse.. you get snow on the 30th day of March.. GAH!!!
But, in an attempt to look at the bright side of things.. I have to say this is one of those rare snows when it's really pretty too see. The type where the snow clings to every branch on every tree.
Here are some raw pictures. I used a crappy Kodak EasyShare C643 point and shoot (almost disposable) camera. It is a 6.1 mpgx.
This is my back yard by the way.. It's a swamp.. wait.. wetlands.. wait.. wetlands nature preserve.. yeah.. we'll go with that!
This one I used the Camera's exposure adjustment to +.5. Keep in mind, I'm a total amateur.. I really know nothing about taking good pictures..
Now.. What I have learned is that Google Picassa is an awesome place to store pictures. You get a ton of space for free... it's easy to get to because it's connected to my gmail account... AND it has some fantastic photo editing software that is free and simple to use.. even for a guy like me who takes the short bus to school...
This one is enhanced with exposure, sharpness and contrast.
The same photo as above, but with a Matte border effect
This is a close up with the glossy feature
Close up with glossy and matte border.. starting to look like a postcard.. This photography stuff is fun!
And for a bonus... A couple shots of Pittsburgh that I took a couple weekends ago..
I guess they have a really beautiful and powerful fountain at the point where the rivers meet.. but it wasn't turned on. Oh well.
