This one's pretty simple: We're looking for posts / threads you've run across here on NICO that have been especially interesting or helpful that should be converted to articles (for distribution out into the community at large).

You know the type - that thread that's chock-full of useful info, a helpful how-to, or a documented build or repair.

Post them up in this thread, and we'll start adding them to the queue to be immortalized forever!

Aaaaaaaaand, GO! :)

Thanks guys!!!

I remember Didderson's build thread being filled with useful information.

I missed this thread...

You should see this little folder I have in my favorites that has posts in it that I need to make into articles for the Z32 chassis.

I am on top of it! :bigthumb:

I recently went into the articles page and was looking at some S13 pages and noticed a lot of the pictures where not loading. Is this because they are articles from before there was a server swap?

Yes, unfortunately we still haven't gotten all of those fixed yet. We have a thread, which i'll try to find shortly that we have everyone post links to broken pages in. That way we can make note and fix them.

I wrote up one for a headliner refinish. Not really car specific but still useful info.

If it hasn't been done before, theres a number of different ones I have in mind (for the future, just running the thoughts by right now.)

If nobody beats me to the punch, I'd like to set up a 300zx specific coilover install, Then later on I'd like to do a write up on installing two s15 OEM turbochargers on the VG30dett to clear up a lot of confusion on the actual installation, then another on making custom carbon fiber/fiberglass parts.

AFAIK, theres none on all counts. Could likely be wrong though.

Articles are on the homepage under "nico new" right? I'd actually like to contribute some "cars and coffee spotlights " and maybe do some video and photo type stuff, theres a ton of Cool datsun and nissans That come thru. Do these have to be threads? Or can I just write something and send it to a mod?

Some are there, but most are under Articles / Reviews link (top menu).

http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/nicocl ... les-1.html

LOVE to see some C&C coverage! You can send it to me or one of the mods to load up. Converting it from a thread is almost as much work. :)

Notepad, with [insert pic 1 here] throughout (and include the pic files) is usually the best way.

+1 on some C and C coverage.

Also yes the Z32 chassis could use a good coilover write up. Although I am willing to bet powertrix has one somewhere.

Fortunately (or unfortunately for me, since I can't write one...It's already there...) Powertrix indeed has everything on coilovers for z32's.

Keep in mind, for the Z32 folks, there's a lot of members who are pretty disenchanted with the "other" Z32 forums (failed moderation, crappy content, lame interface, etc).

We need to let them know they have a home here.

I'm sure it could use a few amendments to the instructions or maybe better pictures? I usually find myself compiling a few DIY whenever I'm trying to fix something. That being said, I know theres a few 240 DIY that could use help.

Greg is right. The "other" places have a horrible interface. Unorganized content. Don't get me started on the chinese part selling sponsors.

So if you know some Z32 drivers tell them to come check Nico out!

Nico is awesome. No forum i've seen has a site owner that will go to bat against somebody who got scammed. Nor have I seen a community that supports it's members as much as Nico does!

Nico is THE only community to be in. fact. :Werd:

One thing I will say is, the ECU tuning knowledge/articles is in need of improvement, (and that's every forum i've seen,) but EFI tuning is just one of those gray areas...definitely not an easy thing to learn. If I learn how and do it myself, I'll make a very useful article for it, step by step, from the beginner's steps to a fully tuned vehicle.
