I heard this song while at work yesterday and I wanted to figure out who it was... except now I cant even remember how it goes really... I was hopin you guys could help me out

Its sorta an acoustic-ey folk-ey song, male singer, I think it was a cover of an older song. He's talking about memories and the ones <something something> are the best of all or something... arugh sorry I cant give you guys more info but this is really all I remember. It's about people acting messed up or something and how it relates to memories arrugh please I hope this clicks with someone...

ahhhh I woke up this morning and I remembered most of it. Its that song from Donnie Darko by Gary Jules. I was remembering "memories," but he was singing about "dreams." It goes: "I find it kinda funny/I find it kinda sad/ that the dreams from which I'm dying/ are the best I ever had..."The part about "people acting messed up" lol translates into "mad world" in the real song... LOL guess I had to just sleep on it... thanks anyways guys!

the tears for fears version is reallygood. but the new one isnt bad at all. he did a reallygood job on it. id say donnie darko was a good movie, but when my GF brought over, we didnt really watch it. soo, when someone mentions is, we say "donniedarko, good movie, makes you think..."
