I'm so freakin sick of spending day after day trying to get all the little crap finished for this car! Honstly I dont understand you guys who are able to do these complete turbo jobs in a week or whatever, it blows my mind cause I keep coming up with wrong bolt this too short that crap every single day... I keep thinking I'm almost done and then I realise 99 other things that need to get done. I made a list today of all the litle crap thats getting in my way:

1. Downpipe + WG dump (dont have the materials yet)2. Battery grounds both in the rear and in the front (need clean locations + hardware)3. My batt relocation cable runs past the ECU.. Realsied I cant do that so its gotta be redone (arrrugh)4. Reverse lamps need to be wired in somehow (auto-manual swap w/ S14 ka in S13 chassis)5. I need to find somewhere 12v+ sources that are on during cranking for the gauges (?)6. Wiring needs to be done for the air intake temp, boost map sensor, regular map sensor, 02 sensor and coil. (need a special tool to crimp plugs)7. Power steering resovior needs to be mounted farther away from the turbo (gotta find hose to extend the ps lines)8. Forgot I needed a restrictor for the turbo oil feed line... (gotta order it)9. PCV vaccum hose nipple needs to be threaded into IC pipe (cant find the right size NPT tap anywhere local)10. Bumper cover needs more trimming, fenders and hood need to be put on 11. Intake needs to be figured out. 2.5" pipe to filter somehow (dont have filter or any way to mount one yet)12. Turbo oil drain line is leaking a little bit already in my garage. (gotta re-teflon the hose into the bung but I'm out of freakin teflon tape)13. I need to buy + transport fuel to my garage somehow (prolly gotta buy a big jug or something)14. I need a solid startup map for my AEM so I can drive it around at least a little bit15. I need to wait till all the snow/salt/sand goes away

So yeah, let this be a lesson for all of you guys who are thinking about just "throwing in" a KA-T. Little things really do get to ya, and they take foreverrrrrr

Anyone with similar experiences/advice?

I have experience the same thing this past summer. I was projecting 3-4 days, because a friend did the same ka-t a few months before. I had everything also, but things just started to happen and alot of things he didn't go through I did. Just pissed me off, it took me 2 weeks to finish it up, but had a crappy oil leak because of my jb weld of the oil pan, so I was down for another week. Now I always tell myself **** happens and expect things to go wrong.

I am on the same boat. My car has been down for 2 months. I had to wait for a friend of mine to weld a pipe and shorten it. He was busy for the past 2 weeks and he can`t get with me until tomorrow afternoon. So tomorrow I have to find a pipe for the intake and find some vacuum hoses. I need to hook up the fmu and boost gauge. Finish connecting the oil pressure line. I am so close but I am worried I won`t get it all done this week. It get this feeling I just want to kick the crap out of a Honda!!

I turbo'd last week, projected a week and got done it a few days! just got back from a 220 mile road trip and its running pretty good. Got a lot of good tuning done doing 4th gear runs on the highway.

Its the little stuff that gets you. I planned for mine and still ended up going to the store and ordering last minute parts. When it was driveable it still wasn't 100% yet.

I had my air/fuel gauge wired up to the cigarette lighter wires. Now I ditched it and went with a wideband.. It's easy to access, and it's powered before cranking.

Theres also a 12v supply in the wires running right below your ignition key slot. Should be a red one and a red&purple or something like that. Or you can just get it off the actual ignition wires.

I second everything you said, I've dumped so many hours of work into my car that its not funny... but I'm talking I tend to have limited access to a garage, so when I upgrade I do a **** load of stuff at at a time. over xmas my goals were: install racing seat, harness, 2 way limited slip, rear subframes, front/rear sway bars, RSR race springs, camber plates, swap new tranmissions, short shifter, get the engine running, and buildthe V mount and do the turbo manifold... its a lot of ****, no way its all getting done.. but I'm giving it a hell of an effort, like 8-10 hours in the garage per day somedays, usually at least 3 or 4.
