Holy crap what is up with your spelling. lol He lives in Canada and so he has received it earlier than anyone in the United States. He posted the pictures somewhere else but just not on here yet. I've heard that many dealerships across the country are receiving them, so they are out right now. Mine SHOULD be coming in tomorrow... ugh, more waiting... and for pickup on Friday.

Got the call from the dealer today at lunch. Took delivery this evening.

It's nice, haven't driven that much yet but it is a nice ride. It will probably take me a week to work my way through the owners manuals and get the voie commands, blue-tooth, Ipod integration etc....... figured out.

Mine looks exactly like the black pics posted by "da mayor". First brief drive impressions are it feels much more nimble than the G35s I test drove. That may be due to the 4wheel active steer I ordered. Low end acceleration was not impressive but the engine does like the higher RPMs

This is going to be a fun car!!

My dealership currently has 4 G37's left as I am typing this...one of the biggest inventory and selection right now is Southern California.

If anyone is interested, feel free to give us a call (805) 485-9998

InfinitiFreak.....What part of Arkansas are you from? I am an Alumni of the Sam M. Walton School of Business......class of '99. Anyway....Congrats on the purchase. Platinum Graphite is a great color. Mine is Diamond Graphite. There only about 1,000 of my color on the streets in Dallas but what can you do.

That is a hell of a gift for yourself. I did the same thing for myself when I bought mine. I plan on keeping it another year or so and then getting an SUV. I just don't need a basically two seat sports car anymore and I have a CLS so I have the sedan covered. I am not getting rid of the G too soon though I do love it. If I don't like the EX coming out then I will get an FX I guess. Would love the QX but takes too much gas.

Sucks that you guys don't have an Inifiniti dealership in Fayetteville. You won't get the full pampering that the rest of us are use to with the loan cars and whatnot. I can tell you stay aware from the Nissan dealership on College. They don't know **** about working on the Inifniti. They should but didn't when I was in college. It was a bunch of F&*Kups in the service area. I am on my fourth infiniti and they worked on my J30t a couple of times and screwed it up.

Anyway, I will be up your way in two weeks. Getting some friends together at the Lake House at Avoca (Beaver Lake) to do some water skiing and a little BBQ.

As soon as you take delivery of that thing.....You have to get it IMMEDIATELY on the Pig Trail!!!!!!!!!!! I took mine on it about two weeks after buying it and DAMN that was an awesome drive to Ozark. All the twists and turns........I have never taken a road that fast and that dangerously for that matter in my life but it was a blast. A definite MUST!!

Enjoy the car!

J-Owner.....I am originally from LR, but came up to Fayetteville to go to the UA. I finished my accounting degree from the Sam M. Walton College of Business in Fall '05. Got my first job and saved the majority of my money and bought a house about a year ago. Wanted to make sure to have a house and a nice warm garage before I got a new car!! That is a nice stable of cars that you seem to have going. The FX does look pretty hot, if you don't like the EX, then the FX would be a great decision.

I have always like the dark grey colors on cars, so once I saw what Platinum Graphite looks like, I knew that was the color for me. I figured that I worked my butt off through school and have been pretty responsible with my money (can't help it, I am an accountant), so I thought it was about time to buy myself a little gift!!

Yeah, I have been to the Nissan dealership on college, they don't seem to have the most knowledgeable salespeople, so I don't want to know what their machanics are like!! For the most part I will be doing the genral maintence on the G37 myself, that was my main reason for buying a house with a garge.

You read my mind, once I get the car, I am going to take a week or two and learn how it reacts in certain situations and once that happens, you know I am hitting the pig trail. I went down that thing once and it is insane, some of those turns are crazy sick, they seem to turn back on them selves. I am already putting together some CD's to accompany me on the pig trail drive.

I am definetly going to enjoy it, I am just waiting for "the call" now.

An accountant huh. I am applying at the moment to SMU to get my MBA. I plan on doing accounting. My bachelor's at Arkansas was in Financial Management.

I am a credit analyst for a large bank in Dallas. I underwrite and pre-decision SBA and commerical loans upto $20 Million for small and middle market clients and businesses. I enjoy it and it pays well.

I am originally from Russellville so I am sure you have been through there on your trips to and from LR. I have a numbers of friends and fraternity brothers that are in residency in Little Rock at the moment. Good town.

When you get on the pig trail use caution. You don't want to wreck that bad boy. Mine almost got away from me on a couple of curves because you are correct, some of those turns do turn back on themselves and there are parts where you do not want to go off the side (cliffs).

Anyway, good talking to you. If I can every answer any questions let me know. I have been on this site for about five years and while I do not post everyday like most I do read the site everyday. So, If I can direct you to any topics let me know.

Take care and enjoy the car....You bought an awesome one. Be sure to post pics when you get it.

Unfortunately no. I don't know when the car will arrive now. It BETTER be soon. I don't know why it's taking so long for Riverside, Infiniti (dealership 1 hour away from the port) to get their G37s.

well I finally got mine last night, I wasn't able to get any pictures cuz it started raining on the way home. Wipers work! :-) I hope that's good luck...

The car is a blast to drive. I'm liking the navi/cd/mp3/xm with voice recognizing. It's pretty fun. The bluetooth on it is awful, but that might be my phone... it's hard to tell. I'll see if I can get a friend to test theirs out.

Test drove one Monday, bought one available at the dealer on Wednesday and picked it up today! Drive-decision-acquire all in 4 days. A record for me.Never owned a G35 so can't compare it to that but I can say:Likey: steering, handling, smooth paddle shifter, interior finish and materials, ipod support, great looks for the most part (not sure about snout)Other thoughts: 6th gear on AT might have been a good idea, break-in periods suck! Will post pics on the weekend.

From what I have read, your car is configured identical to mine. I was expecting mine Aug 21 as well but it didn't happen. Must have something to do with production and that combination of options. Dealer says mine was dropped in port yesterday, expecting it first of the week. Good luck!

My dealerships says that I will be getting it for sure this upcoming week. I'm hoping that it's at the beginning so I could take it to the family gathering next weekend.

I picked mine up friday Aug 24. Ivory Pearl with premium package. I traded a 2003 g35 coupe for this car. My dealership only received 3 cars in their initial shipment. I did not preorder but purchased from open stock. I found the g37 to be superior to my g35 in 4 areas: audio system(biggest difference), interior quality, brakes(they are either on or off on the g35),quietness and superior ride quality.I drove 125 miles home from the dealership and averaged 23.1 mpg. Not bad for an engine with 23 miles on it. I had the dealership get the windows tinted(better they mess with it than me). My salesman let me keep the floormats from my g35 so I can keep the new ones pristine against the day I trade this car. H e also let me take the cargo net out of the g35 and it fits perfectly. So far only two gripes. What brain dead engineer would intall a memory seat system then delete the entry/exit function? Fortunately you can beat this if your the only driver(who would let your wife and/or girlfriend at this baby?)by programming one memmory button for exit and the other for your driving postion. Just don't program your intelligent key as it will set your driving position before you can get in the car.I am really looking forward to driving this car for years to come.[img]

Ok...I pried myself out of this car long enough to snap some pics. Looks like onusigep's ride. I shot some pics of the iPod user interface - real nice touch having the iPod menu on the user info sreen on the G....never have to touch the iPod other than connecting it in the center console. I'll update these pics with the stillen air intake when it's installed next week. Oh, and I got the darkest window tinting that's legal in Texas...the one and only dealer "gimme". It's hard not laying into the throttle during the break-in period!

Thanks InfinitiFreak!

Yimbie - it seems every time I learn a new feature of this car, it is another pleasant surprise, and I'm sure I've yet to discover my favorite feature. But, if I'd have to pick some after 24 hours of ownership...I'd say the audio system is awesome, ride quality/handling is exceptional (well balanced and solid feel), the trademark "swell" of acceleration, the sheer beauty of this car (seems to turn a lot of heads), and the sum of all the little things like auto-rolling the windows down 1/4 of an inch upon entry/exit so you don't get that air-vacuum non-door shutting experience. The adaptive lighting is pretty cool too!

Modfever, how do you like the tint job? Are you happy with the installation? I was thinking about getting Grubbs to do one on mine, but wasn't smart enough to get them to thrown it in for free!

I met you at the preview when you were talking to the G3 motorsport instructor. I'd love to see (and hear) your car when when you get the exhaust installed; I am considering doing the same thing or something similar to mine.

Sorry I can't tell you. It's supposed to be darkest legal in Indiana. The cops in this town carry hand held meters to measure window tint. They are real strict on this

Muchomas - good to hear from you. Small world indeed! I think Grubbs did a great job on the tint - very professional. I was told any little bumps in the tint would go away with heating and cooling, but I can't see any. I think the darkness is just right - not sure of the percent tint (sorry InfinitiFreak, but I'll ask the next time I go into the dealer), but I did ask for the darkest that is legal in Texas.

Funny story - I ran into the G3 Motorsports instructor (Jeff) on Friday at Tolberts in Grapevine (across from Wilhoytes). He lives in Grapevine, and we got to chatting. Not sure if he's a regular there, but told him I'd give him a shout to meet up there some Friday happy hour.

The Stillen intake is supposed to be in on Monday, and I hope to take the car over there mid-day to get it installed (should do myself, but too busy...or perhaps it's laziness, one of the two). Anyway, the Stillen cat-back is on order, and when I talked to the parts guy, he thought it would be two to three weeks before it got in. I'm not sure when you're taking delivery, but if you wanted to see/hear the intake and check out the tint job sometime this week, let me know - I've been known to frequent the Starbucks on 1709 and Whites Chapel after work on the way home from work, and would be glad to show you.

I wonder if there are any G35/37 performance clubs around the metroplex?

There is a G35 owners club in DFW. I don't know anything about it other than what I've run across on the web. Looks like it's has some sponsorship from Grubbs, so a membership is worth some discounts!

Here's a link to their home page:

http://g35ownersclub.com/ownersclub.html

I took delivery of mine on Wednesday. Maybe you'll get your exhaust installed prior to the driving school and I'll catch you there.

For other readers out there; the dealership we bought our cars from has a pretty cool perc. When you buy a car from them, they throw in a half day driving school with track time at a local road course. I havn't done it yet, but it sounds like a blast. There's more information on their website if you want to learn more.
