ARP tech question

I ordered a set of ARP head bolts to fix my HG leak and they sent me a main head stud kit...They kit was labeled for a saturn 1.9l and they told me it was interchangeable.... But aren't the mains for the crankshaft????I'm confused as hell......It's 10 bolts with the bolt probably 6" long thread on both end but not in the middle. Came with nuts and washers.... I'm completely lost... Because it shows being able to order either ARP: Head, Main, and rod bolts... Please educate me, I've had a rough week...

you screw the studs into the block, place the head on the block, and bolt the head down on the studs.

So there is 2 different sets that I could use then? One is the stud kit(which I have) and the other would be the head bolt which is like oem with the 10mm hex drive??

stockers are bolts, ARP is studs... im not quite getting your question. It sounds to me like you got shipped the right stuff. (studs threaded at both ends with washers and a 12 pt 12mm nut.)

There is not a "kit" from ARP for the KA motors.. What vendors have done is find studs or kits that fit the KA and sell them as a setup for the KA... Some vendors use pre-packaged kits like the Saturn kit for the KA that are the right thread pitch and an acceptable lenght... Others hand pick the best strongest studs, largest washers and largest nut flange that fit the KA and package their own kit as we do...

You got a main kit for a Saturn which will fit your KA head...
