So I'm trying to pick the main studs for my motor, simple ka24de, and the ARP catalog lists an L20 series, L24, L26, & L28 6cylinder, sr20de/t, and the vq35. I assume I need the L20's? I was wondering what the L24 is, and is it included in the listing as a v6? The guy at ARP sounded pretty stoned and couldn't match the motor up to the application. Anyone know what the manufacturer part number is? Is it 202-5401 or 202-5406?
Also, my machinist said he could get my internals on the cheap for me. He's coming back with a set of Arias 8.7/8:1 pistons but can only get them in .020 over and stock. He's also getting a set of eagle h-beam rods. He's asking $750 which I think is a pretty good deal, but I was thinking about getting Wiseco's and going .040 over. Should I say to hell with the extra .020 and take these? I kind of enjoy the idea of driving around in a 244sx, as in 2.4438 liters if I go .040 over. Plus I think the Wiseco's may be even a little cheaper. The Wisecos are also about .3 lower in c/r.
*edit* I found a listing that says the main studs are 202-5402. Can anyone confirm this?
