So I'm trying to pick the main studs for my motor, simple ka24de, and the ARP catalog lists an L20 series, L24, L26, & L28 6cylinder, sr20de/t, and the vq35. I assume I need the L20's? I was wondering what the L24 is, and is it included in the listing as a v6? The guy at ARP sounded pretty stoned and couldn't match the motor up to the application. Anyone know what the manufacturer part number is? Is it 202-5401 or 202-5406?

Also, my machinist said he could get my internals on the cheap for me. He's coming back with a set of Arias 8.7/8:1 pistons but can only get them in .020 over and stock. He's also getting a set of eagle h-beam rods. He's asking $750 which I think is a pretty good deal, but I was thinking about getting Wiseco's and going .040 over. Should I say to hell with the extra .020 and take these? I kind of enjoy the idea of driving around in a 244sx, as in 2.4438 liters if I go .040 over. Plus I think the Wiseco's may be even a little cheaper. The Wisecos are also about .3 lower in c/r.

*edit* I found a listing that says the main studs are 202-5402. Can anyone confirm this?

BUMP.

Anyone have ARP part numbers on these head and main studs?

All the suppliers act as if its some kind of trade secret just because ARP doesn't list exactly which studs/bolts match our motor directly. I called ARP themselves and they told me to call their distributor for the information! Kind of aggravating...

i'd searched out the same info awhile back to see how much a rebuild would cost me. Had taken me awhile to find it so i made sure i'd saved it all.

Here's the ARP head stud part number i'd foundARP 165-5401

And this is the part # for the main studsARP 202-5401

For reference Frsport's ka24de ARP hardware page.http://www.frsport.com/ARP%20H....html

I said to hell with it and bought my main studs from lightningmotorsports.com. Their part number is 202-54xx which is due to the fact that they say they are combining the studs, washers, and nuts from different applications. I still feel like I'm getting taken for a ride, but its probably only about $20 worth in the grand scheme of things...
