I installed some main studs following the instructions that came with it but now am having problems starting the motor. Im pretty sure that I torqued them to 75 or 80 ft/lbs in stages with moly lube. I was checking other sites and said to torque to 55 ft/lbs. Double checked the timing and alternator belt tension to make sure that they werent too tight. Motor isnt cranking fast enough to start and am wondering if the main studs are holding the crank too tight.

Try rolling it over by hand. see what it feel like.

You should ALWAYS have the main line checked. Its a must when using different fasteners.

Why did you use ARP when people make 1000 horsepower on stock bolts?

Takes a little muscle to turn the crank by hand, I replaced the factory bolts because they got overtorqued.
