I have a friend who just started at napa, so for ****s and giggles I wanted to see what kind of price he could get me on apr head studs for the 18det. He got a hold of someone and then told me it was going to be 226 bucks shipped because arp started to make head studs with titanium in them because people where breaking the old arp head studs. I just called up arps 1800 number and they are still selling thru them for 144.88 before shipping. Anyone know if he is just trying to mark them up real high on me? Or is there really some super arp head studs out there made out of titanium. I can see my friend lyeing to me obviously, so i wont be surprised either way.

bump, everyone must think i am dumb for thinking for a second that my buddy isnt feeding me a line of crap. Anyways, when i called arp the other day the guy in the sales dept. couldnt give me a price on shipping...which i wanted to know so i would know what my total would be since i plan on buying the head studs with my debit card over the phone...the arp site just has a catalog and a phone number so you cant order online...so then why cant the guy in the sales dept give me a price quote with shipping? Anyways...I was thinking shipping from california to washington shouldnt be more then 10 to 20 bucks anyways....

Your friend is messing with you lol.
Napa is expensive because of their markup (same with any other parts store). You're better off just ordering them online.
