arp head studs lenght? (pic)

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

hey just bought some arp head studs but they are all the same length i got all 10, arent the head studs supposto have 2 studs with different size? did by any chance get the wrong set?

I don't know if those are the right ones. Please specify if it is for the KA24de or the KA24e.

Basically if you compare the ARP head studs, to the OEM bolt they should just be a little longer than 100mm in length, (I would think 110mm for the nut and washer).Stock bolts are 100mm as well. So if the studs are a little longer than they are suppose to check the thread depth you should have atleast 25mm or better of depth at both ends in order for it to work.

You ordered studs, there is also a head bolt kit as well. I don't know if that is what is causing the confusion.

i think your confused with the main stud set..the head studs are all the same length..the main studs come with 2 longer studs for the high area on the main girdle...the main studs are a combination of saturn head studs and opel head studs..but hay..it works...enjoy your new found clamping power..and good luck to ya.
