i am going to be pulling the head on my SR20DET soon, to install a Greddy Metal Headgasket. I would like to put in new ARP Head Studs or Bolts. I think Phase 2 Has them for like $150, seems a little pricey, when on the website they are only like $50 or $60. If anyone has done this before, or know which Studs will work, like the ones for the SR20 sentra motor, i would appreciate any info.

They do work, I used them on mine. The only problem is that the front timing chain cover has to be off during the instal of the hea dbecuse with studs the head has to come staight down on the block. The head has to be twisted for oem for cleaance of the timing chain guides. I suppose you could put the studs in after the head is mounted up but I could see that being a royal pain. I talked to greddy awhile ago and they seem to thing that the OEM head bolts work just fine. I blew out 1 greddy headgasket so I didn't want to take any chances. If you are still running a T25 / T28 turbine and are not using nitrous I would recomend just sticking with the oem head bolts.Just my .02 cents.

your better off spending alittle money now then a lot later. these head studs are designed to take alot of boost pressure. remeber you can still blow that greddy head gasket. the apr head stubs will keep the head ffrom lifting iunder high boost. even if you don 't need it now you might llater better to keep pulling head off . i say

If you hav'nt ported the head yet or done valve work then I would have to disagree, get all the stuff done now before you stud the motor or else you will have the remove the whole engine when you want to do a valve job or port and polish.

92 Sentra SE-R head bolts should be the same.

STUDS DON'T PREVENT YOU FROM TAKEING OFF YOUR HEAD JUST FROM BLOWING IT. SO YOU CAN DO VALVE JOB AND PORT WHENEVER. EASIER TO REMOVE HEAD TO DO UPGRADE THEN REPLACE WHOLE MOTOR BECAUSE YOU BLEW IT. THATS MY POINT. BUT I SEE EVERYONE LIKES TO SAVE MONEY NOW AND PAY BIG BUCKS LATER.$150 NOT ALOT TO INVEST
