Bumping this thread for yet another change. I just got my ARP headstuds in from CIP and my instructions say to torque to 85 ft/lbs

My instructions say 105 ft/lbs from enjuku from maybe less than a year ago.

I torqued them to 95

85 ft lbs, in 10 lbs increments starting at 15.

The biggest key is to keep them lubricated using the supplied moly lube from ARP. Follow the FSM's sequence, but use your own torque per step.

Any more is just asking for trouble. I've done easily over 20 head stud jobs now without issue. Hell on the last motor I even had 'friends' torque down final specs that were involved in a community/group build. 85 is the ticket. I'd be afraid to go beyond with our aluminum blocks.

trying to find the headstud torque SEQUENCE I came across this post. IDK if this helps clear eveything up but the 85ft lbs using ARP moly lube is for the head studs that have ARP marked twice on the which is a different material then the ARP 2000 studs. The 105ft lbs is for the ARP studs that have "ARP 2000" marked on them. I have used some headstud kits that have 85ft lbs instruction and others that have 105ft lbs instruction two different material two different instruction.

This is what I ended up doing and its going on 2800 miles so far. Everything was taken care of by Enjuku(Ken is awesome!). Now just have to figure out some slight detonation at part throttle that started last week. P.S. Damn this thread came back from the dead.

I wouldn't of recommended that but if that's what you feel good with it then ok...
