Hi folks!

I just received my package from the shop:* Cometic MLS Headgasket 1.29mm (0.51")* ARP Head Stud Kit

The ARP Head Stud Kit is "202-4208 Nissan RB25DET head stud kit 11mm studs" with 14 washers/nuts/studs all the same. The shop has told me that they are 100% perfect/same as the CA18DET kit ones, except comes with 2 extra studs/nuts/washers.

Now it didn't come with a spec sheet, so does anyone know the procedures and torque specs for this arp head stud kit?

Thanks in advance,Li.

I can't remember off the top of my head. You could probably email them directly and get a pretty quick answer. They have pretty good customer service.

I still think you might want to email ARP. IIRC, I did and they told me to torque it way less than 75ft/lbs. Ofcourse it's also been 2 years since I put the motor together so there is a good chance I just don't remember correctly.

it might be a good question to ask them if it makes a difference using a MHG, and/or different thickness HG

The rotational torque will be different from a BOLT to a STUD...A bolt will have a LARGER thread contact area = more torque required for clamping force VS. the SMALLER thread area of a stud/nut combo...

The end result will be the same CLAMPING force, but the rotational force required to get it there on studs or bolts will be different. Also, see if they need/want a dry or wet torque reading..

The torques should NOT be treated = on the stock bolts vs. head studs...
