hey this is quik's friend on his name he's on the pohne wit me and needs some help.... he says" how do you instal arp head studs in a red top and what are the torque specs???"

check the FSM it's in there, however I believe the ARP bolts require their own torque setting, I could be wrong

i know in a V8 when you install head studs you thred them in till they bottom out and then you unthread them just a little (like 1/4 turn) I'm not sure why you do this but my friend used to work at the most reputable machine shop in the area and thats how they did it.

Yep this is how you do it, you lube it with the supplied moly lube and thread them in by hand. When it bottoms out, back it out a little. Then put the head on and lube the washers and nuts on. ARP recommends 65lbs of torque if you use their lube on aluminum heads, but I was kinda iffy on that and went ahead and did 75-80lbs.
