the entry range sparco seats are steel tube. this arospeed is a fiberglass shell, possibly carbon kevlar i have not determined. i know the reclining arospeed seats are actually recaros, now does anyone know about the bucket seats? please stop telling me alternative seats :p

"possibly carbon kevlar "

I highly doubt it. the only companies with autoclaves to do seats properly are sparco and bride to my knowledge(and I think bride has to outsource theirs).

plus, if its under 700 a seat, its not c/f...or ist fiberglass with a c/f weave over it(and thusly ghey.)

and I dont know anything about aerospeed seats, but I know aerospeed stuff isnt exactly known for it quality or fitment. I wouldnt trust it, if you want a good inexpensive seat, check out corbeau.

thats great, did you know Bfgoodrich tires are manufactured by michelin?

doesnt make their quality any better than if they were made by goodyear or anyone else. Why are you soo heck bent on an admitedly crappy product? just because its manufacutred(possibly) by a more reputable manufacturer?

thats a very poor reason. Sparco makes a ton of OE stuff, as does recaro and other manufacturers. Just because its made by X company for Y company, does not mean its the same quality as X companies primary brand. common misconception.

take for example uniroyal, crappy tires, still owned by michelin. Just because michelin makes both michelins and uniroyals, does not mean uniroyals are anywhere close to as good as michelins.

another idea, I bet if I had 10k of money, I could call reacro and get a seat made that cost me 125 dollars a peaice, that had little reco stuff labeled on it, and it would still be a peice of crap, because its made to be cheap(like the aero speed stuff).

get the idea?

you were donwering why everyones giving you alternatives, theres a reason...you should look for alternatives, corbeau is a big one.

also, carbon fiber and carbon/kevlar both require an autoclave to be done 'right', anyone with epoxy and resin can lay c/f in a shape, but its not nearly as strong as an autoclaved peice of C/F, and wont be FIA homogulated.-chet

exar - sorry for sounding offencive, its just that the arospeed recliners like ARE the same seat as recaro speeds, and every time i try to figure out if the bucket seat is a diff. recaro seat i just get told arospeed is trash, which i am aware of :) there are all kinds of threads about it on freshalloy if anyone is curious. reason i am so interested in this seat is because i am poor and it is so cheap.

get some brides? 1. 2 racing seats is WORTHLESS 2. car shows are also WORTHLESS 3. i dont have 1600$ to get somthing imported for no reason.

do people in japan think mustangs are the coolest car in the world and that skylines are gay?

seirously, if you want a nice light seat, check out corbeau, russ has them, and its a favorite of balanced perfomrance cars(most of whom see track use regularly) and they dont cost an arm and a leg....and get this, they make sliders BUILT FOR OUR CARS!

:)(no offense taken, Just trying to be informative :P)-chetalso, good luck fiting the average american into some bride..I want some, but I can only get Zeta2 Xl's or the pros because other ones would sqeeze me, and Im only 170lbs at 5'10.

this kind of opinion is also worthless...

"Some" people in japan thinks USDM stuff are cool. They even import USDM 240sx to mod there.

I'd go with what Exar has been saying: Corbeau!

You can find there Forza fixed bucket seat (tubular steel frame) for $220 a piece at Solo Racer - http://soloracer.com/corbeauforza.html

Or if you must have a fiberglass body, go for the new FX1 seat at $299 a piece - http://soloracer.com/corbeaufx1.html

I've had a chance to sit in my friend's 240 equipped with the Forza's and my only complaint is, being the wider version (the Forza II - 42-44" waist) and with my thin 32" waist, I didn't feel "snug". But I did like the close to stock height they sat at (tad higher), quality of materials, comfiness, and the wonderful smell of the leatherette high-wear patches :).

To add, the 89-98 240sx uses the Corbeau "D" brackets.*Drivers side - D960F*Passenger side - D961F

These brackets are $79 each at Solo Racer. (Includes slider)

We're just helping you get A BETTER product with your money. Corbeau's are good, or why not get sparco/momo bucket seats that cost between 250-300 each?

Did you see the whole seat article in SCC? a couple of issues back i believe. But i definitely heard good about the Corbeau's. I'm going to look into getting one once i get the money.

Does anyone know whether or not b13 se-r seats can fit on S13 brackets? Supposedly the b13 and nx2000 seats are interchangeable, and that the nx2000 seats are similar in design to the s13's. Just a hunch....
