Ok, So I have the SL model and I noticed last night that the locking Door switch on my armrest only lit up the locked simbol, but I could swear that when I drove out of the dealer both the lock and unlock simbol were lit. Could someone with an SL model check their armrest and post an answer to my question please.

Hope this photo will help explain what I am talking about. Take a look at the Locks switch. The locked one is lit but the bottom unlocked one is not.

Your response on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Thank You!

Hum... I'll have to check that tonight. Do you know if the unlock symbol becomes lite when the door is actually unlocked ? Or vice VERSA ! (yeah, kind of a pun here... )

Thank you for your reply, I believe the controls light up as soon as you turn on the car. You don't have to turn on the lights for the controls to light up. At least that how it is in my car. Let me know if someone has a different set up, cus' if you do I need to take my car to the dealer and put this extended warranty to good use. LOL.

nope it DOES NOT light up, this has been discussed before, and I had taken the switches apart to see if it was possible to have light up and change the color, and it is NOT.

I have a S model, and according to your post mine works identical to yours.I wish both would light up,I also noticed that on the passenger side button ,Both dont light up at all,This seems odd. They could of put some leds in for those buttons.Maybe mine are dead.

Yes PB, the switch on the passenger side doesn't lite up either for me. It would be nice if it did. Maybe it will in next years model.

Don't forget that alot of parts swap out from model to model. Might be worth checking into another nissam auto ligths up the way you want, then hit Ebay when you know what you need. I'll have to check my Frontier and see what lights and doesn't.

Because we're gluttons for punishment.

Actually, he was chosen for his coding skills.

Besides, the monkey can be trained. It just takes a while.
