I tried searching the forums but had no luck finding my specific issue. I have an 11 Versa and when I arm the alarm/lock the doors the horn no longer sounds. I can hear the doors locking. I have also checked to make sure all of the doors are closing completely as well as the hatchback. Another thing I noticed which may be some kind of clue or may be unrelated is the passenger side airbag light was showing disabled (orange) for a couple days and would not go off.

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried this from the owner manual? I imagine it's the same with newer models as with mine.

Silencing the horn beep feature

If desired, the horn beep feature can be deactivated using the keyfob.

To deactivate: Press and hold the (lock) and (unlock) buttons for at least 2 seconds. The hazard warning lights will flash three times to confirm that the horn beep feature has been deactivated.

To activate: Press and hold the (lock) and (unlock) buttons for at least 2 seconds once more. The hazard warning lights will flash once and the horn will sound once to confirm that the horn beep feature has been reactivated.

That's exactly what it was. I had never heard of such a thing. I guess I need to re-read my manual. In my defense I do have a two year old who loves to get his grubby little hands on my keys and hit the panic button. Thanks a bunch for your time and helpful reply.

No problem. It was one of the first things I looked for when I got mine, and have done it to all three. I couldn't wait to silence the beeps, but to each his own!
