Let me start off by saying whats up!

Recently my girlfriend and I have been talking about future plans to move out of the s***ty state of Michigan due to lack of economy. Just wanted to know how the outlook is over in Arizona. She is planning to go to Northern Arizona University to become a Dental assistant. Myself, I have my Associates in Applied Science for Automotive Technology. Anyone know the job outlook on these two professions?

Also, my main question, hows the car/drift scene over there and around Northern Arizona University? I definately can't/don't want to move to a place like where I live now where there is basically no interest in cars or drifting.

Thanks for reading and for any input. Cheers

Hey man,

NAU is in Flagstaff. I'm about an hour south of Flagstaff & I don't hear much coming out of that town. If you want to see more of the car/ drift scene you'll have to go further south to PHOENIX.

I'm sure several folks on here will chime in...our beloved President of NICO, Greg, is an ARIZONIAN you know...

that sold me. I just needed to be sure that there WAS some interest at all in the state. Michigan has little to no drift scene, and the import car interest is slim to none.

Arizona, here i come (in a decade lol)

I can live anywhere in the US.

I choose to stay here.

All the good things of CA (except beaches), but with better roads, cheaper housing, and cleaner air.

Oh, and despite what the Californians will say, our car scene is solid.

yet another reason to move to Arizona! Is the job market pretty good in the automotive field? I mean really, how does one get into a performance shop for a job? lol

The car scene is definitely solid here, but mostly in Phoenix and Tucson.

Flagstaff is a small town that gets a lot of snow. There's not that many modified cars, and 240s are very scarce.

Flagstaff is about a 2.5 hour drive south to Phoenix. And Tucson is about another 2 hours south.

I live on the borderline of north phoenix, and the car scene gets way better deep into phoenix or tucson.

4 years seems so far away!

Get your degree here in AZ, then pop the question while you're at it!

yea 4 years is a ways away, but I gotta save for the ring/wedding and we have to save for a house (i will NOT rent). It'll be nice to because she'll hopefully be eligible for Financial Aid to get her through school.

I wonder if anybody is willing to house a couple newly weds when i decide to move until we find a house lmao
