I have a 92 Q45 with 107k. Overall, this car has been good, serviced at the dealer until my warranty ran out last February. I just replaced the radiator and plugs 2K miles ago, now I am having this problem.Car jerks at all speeds starting yesterday. At stop lights, it will stall, with a "Low battery warning" coming on the computer. I was able to get the car home by keeping the RPM up. Can anyone recommend a good mechanic to diagnose and fix this problem in the Phoenix area. I am centrally located, and do not really want to go back to the dealer again (very expensive). Thanks

Do a search for Phoenix mechanic or shop.

Azhitman uses someone like Euromotors.

I'd recommend Euro Imports, or I have an independent mechanic who's very inexpensive and works on mine all the time.

Thanks for the info. Who is the independent mechanic, and how do I get in touch with him?

His name is Mike, and you can reach him at 623-594-9701.

Tell him Greg sent you.

What part of town are you in, and how did you hear about NICO?

Thanks for your help with this. My name is Dave, and I live downtown, in the historic area. Found this site a while back, though never had a reason to post--glad to know it there now!

FYI--I also have a 67 Datsun 2000 just waiting for that new set of carbs to be bolted on--If you know of anyone good with these cars let me know.

Dave - I work dowtown, next door to the Capitol.

We'll have to do lunch and compare Q's.

Mike should be good with the carburetors on the Datsun, he's quite adept at multi-carb setups, having built numerous fast VW's.

It could be your E.C.U as it was on my 90 Q. It did the same thing. I also had a bad injector #5.
