AWD will rip you out of the whole almost everytime, sorry to hear about your loss aries, but imagine the time and money he has spent on that DSM, he's got my respect, but i must admit, id love to see em on a road course, thatd be a fun race

It's good to see the DSM guy's are as classy as Aries. Aries readily admitted he got beat and posted the vid. The race was suppossed to be motor vs motor NO GAS. If this guy was spraying I guess that would explain why he won so easily.

i dont think he was. i doubt it take much to get a turbo dsm into the low 12's jsut like an sr 2.0 turbo. jsut they have awd so traction isnt a problem at all.

I'm not quite sure what your getting at.

Anyway. This race took place in may. Aries has added some significant mods to his vehicle in the last 4 months. Last time i heard he was looking for a roll cage because he wanted to run Super Chevy and NOPI.

At the speed he's running you are required to have your car caged and certified

actually from what i remember, he DID post a forum saying that he raced a DSM and lost, and also hosted a video named "Aries_vs._Ryan" which i have in my work comp right now.

The DSM that posted was not on gas.....Later in the post "MikeredLX" claims to have beaten him while spraying in just 1st.

He also lost to a turbo prelude.

excatly, they are all talking about how they would have put in a RB26DETT or something else in there or SR20DET or KA24DET but not knowing that he Aeris wanted something unique and not be like everyone and their mom with SR (not that everyone has SR.... I wish my mom had SR )

ALmost everyone on that forum knows why Aries went w/ the LT1. They know he wanted to be different.....And he is. He just isn't that fast.

Trust me, pretty much everyone on that forum knows Aries a little better than the majority here. I mean, everyone that's replied on this post lives in another state.....or country.

Hi guys, I saw this thread from another forum here in Houston called Houston-Imports.

First off I would like to introduce myself, I am Ryan with the red 92 Laser that can be seen in the video Aries_vs_Ryan.mov. That is actually my vid that I had a buddy record on my digi cam.

Let me do a little clarification for the confused. I raced Aries motor on motor (if you call it that since I got turbo). My car has NO nitrous. The last time I went to the track I had a bad run where I busted a 13.77 @ 100mph with a 2.2 60' (horrible). My 60' on the street is more like 1.8. That was a fun race between me and Aries. But I did beat him by about 2 cars. I was on pump gas at 15psi.

Now he is on spray and can definately beat me because of the monster shot he's running, but that won't last for long because I have a few tuning mods that will play a crucial role in me making power.

If anyone is interested, we have a bull**** race coming up. It's only a 60' race. I called him out because he said he had a better launch than me..not likely. I'm getting transmission work done so this race should take place some time in October hopefully.

I hope this clears up any confusion, I'll check back every now and then to answer any more questions.

P.S. - I'm not running a monster turbo either, just a Mitsubishi 16G (stock flows 450cfm, 16G flows 505cfm).

Those cars he is losing to are 12-13 sec cars, that post on the import board is from the last couple days. The video on that page is some 13 sec turbo prelude that he is losing to.

Thanks for posting Ryan. I personally have no idea how fast, nor do I care, Aries car is. I was just a little annoyed by the way they trashed Aries, his car, his engine etc.

As stated you guy's know him alot better than I. If he has been talking trash then I guess he would deserve it. (we don't know what goes on in Houston)

yep, sure did post that vid.Even have it hosted on the LCM site.My car on motor was only a mid 12 second car back then.That race happened like 6 months ago when I only had a three speed auto in the car, and very mild mods.

I welcome this coming race with Ryan.HE and I are actually very good friends, adn the 60' race we're gonna do is gonna be very interresting.

BTW, Mike Red LX runs a 10.6 1/4 mile, so I had no problem losing to him on the street on my little 100 shot.

LMAO, the guys on the ICCH board all bash me for losing to Trey's turbo prelude the weekend I got the car . That vid's been posted here too.

Just to clear things up, Aries doesn't talk s.h.i.t. I've never really heard nor seen any posts where he has. But sometimes he makes claims that seem a little too outrageous IMO.
