Arh, so diff and another suspension part done..

So i spent 1/2 a day, on my back, on cold cement, getting this **** done.. thank god its done !

Just put in a viscous lsd, with the 5 stud 1/2 half axles, and a r32 gtr rear swaybar..

As anyone would know about the series 1 q's silvia, they came out with an open centre, and a 6 stud 1/2 shaft, abs and hicas.. So i took the sensor from the ABS and cable tied it to the hand brake line, popped the hole axels out instead of just popping the cvs out of the 1/2 shaft, and changed the complete whole set over..

I nearly thought oh **** cause the tailshaft looked too short to fit into the vlsd.. but it made it..

Also, as the rear cradle i bought came from a series 2 k's ( no abs, no hicas), it had some special little arms hanging out the back.. where mine has the hicas set..

So i;m going to look into how to detach the hicas, and taking it all off.. and putting my lock bars in.. hmmm.. drifty goodnes..

pete, did you reuse the old open diff half shafts? or did you use the 5 bolt half shafts?

the vlsd i got had 5 bolt 1/2 shafts, and my open centre had 6 bolt 1/2 shafts.. so you know i have to change

Seems as the diff ratio has changed as well.. has more legs now..

Whats there to take pictures off ?? it's a diff.. i;m sure you guys have seen a million and one of them ?? i'll take some tomorrow night when im changing the oil over for you
