Well, there is a certain person on these forums, that also goes to my school. He is a good friend of mine but, he thinks that his sentra XE, which he himself claims to have a whopping 95 horses on a GA16DE, thinks he can beat an S13 with a KA24DE. He said that he ghetto fabbed his intake by removing the stock airbox. Please just someone put something to show the he cannot own a 240sx. He will probably show up and say something. Thank you. BTW, once I get my car, spring of next year, I plan on racing at Baytown, our local strip that is an hour away from where i live. I plan on bringing this to school to show his friends too.:rolleyes

Ya, it'll be a wash. The GA16DE is a joke.

It depends how many stickers he has. I mean, any more than 6 and you're toast.

I've got $50 on the 240 (it had better be well-maintained)!

high 15s

Trust me the KA has enough torque to stomp you off the line and keep you way far behind for the rest of the race. Period.

Found this after a quick search. It could come down to the driver. Yes I realise this is a newer model.

Another race where the winner hits mid-15's and goes home feeling good about himself? I'm actually gonna side with the sentra, just because would it really matter who wins? Guys, don't race.

Smith it's all in fun, and they want to do it safely. I don't see why you can't have fun running a 16 second 1/4. It's just exciting to race period.

That's my point! Would it really matter who wins? I'm firmly siding with the Sentra now. Down with the much-hyped 240!

Show this kid who doesn't have the car yet what a Sentra driver can do when he is familiar with the nuances of throttle and shift points!

I too back the sentra, thats why I posted the time for that 96. Show the 240sx how it's done. Get a SOHC model and it will be even more amusing.

Some fun stats from http://www.autos.msn.com

1991 Sentra XE (manual)HP: 110 Tq : 108 lb/ftCurb Weight: 2337 lbsFuel Economy 29/39 mpg

1991 240sx SE Coupe (manual)HP:155Tq: 156 lb/ftCurb Weight: 2684 lbsFuel Economy: 22/28 mpg

Now don't forget the Sentra in question is allowed I/H/E and a couple other mods. Might not be much but it is something. Go Sentra go!

You've got to be kidding me. I've beaten V8's and certain turbo'd import cars in my previous 240 with a DE that had only intake and exhaust. A Sentra XE? OMFG, I would crush an XE in my old 240. Hell, my stock single cam with no mods and 198000 miles runs a 16.4.

It's all about the driver. And I can tell you which one is a driver's car. Don't worry though, Sentras are still cool. I don't want EZ Cheeze showing up and messing with my post count or anything...lol.

We aren't taking into account that the 240 will be driven by a novice to the 240 world, or at least I will assume this. His friend will have more driving experience. I definatly think It will be a driver issue and not who has the beter car. Also the sentra gets to have mods and the 240 must be bone stock. :batman

I'm sorry, I am the only one who thinks this is a joke ? Lol I like sentra's, I really like SE-R sentra's, but an XE is way out of it's league even WITH bolt-on's. My 240 stock stomps my friends 97' 5spd LS Integra with bolt ons. A XE is done for even if the guy drives crappy.

EDIT: Also another factor, does he have a sunroof? I know that the sunroof option on the SE-R's add like around 250 lbs of weight because of all the extra structrual reinforcing that has to be put in. I read on SR20forums.com where 2 guys with SE'Rs, one with a sunroof, the other w/o both weighed their cars on scales and one was around 2300, the other in the high 2500. So, if he has a sunroof it's going to be a r a p i n g.

Ummm...no. I am not a novice to the 240 world. I have been driving since 5th grade. I learned how to drive stick when I was in 6th. I do know how to drive. I also come from a pretty good list of mechanics and technicians in my family. I have been into 240's since I was in 8th grade. I know my fare share. I know what can be done. My uncle is getting parts together to fix the transmission on his pig nose. I already know its a done deal and I know im gonna win. He on the other hand is so convinced that his B13 will beat me. It is in the name of good fun, not some grudge match or something like that. But, I know you were assuming so no offense taken.

Plus, people work with what they have. Dont worry, well post up the times so all of u can see who really won.those of you hating, well just see...
