Sounds like there's too much tension on arm and plastic clip. If you remove rear interior panel, there are 3 nuts holding the whole assenbly. You can adjust them and see if you can make it go up faster.

ya and also the plastic clip can break if theres too much stress on it. lubricating the tracks really well would probably be a good idea too. i use graphite or silicone spray on all moving parts on my vert.

Maybe clips are already broken and they struggle to make their way up.

I broke them off this week after trying to fix my water leak. so now I need to find a solution quickly, I need to make measurements in a few days and get a writeup going.

RJ, just a thought for you. I recently replaced my top and noticed something interesting in regards to the back windows. Inside the chanel on the top side (back side of window) there is a piece of metal that is bolted through the top (nuts are on opposite side behind headliner. You should be able to reach them. They have acorn type nuts on them (think they are 8mm). Well when I did my top I bent the metal piece and noticed that I now have one window that goes up easy and one that does not. I actually have to pull the window forward slightly while it passes over the bent part. My thought is this 1) either the nuts have loosened over time and the metal piece is pushing against the window - causing it to go slowly. 2) if you had top replaced or top has been replaced you can check to see if that part is bent like mine and fix it. I'm gonna do mine this weekend and will let you know if it works out. Just food for thought.
