Hey I'm new to the forum. I have an opinion question. About 6 years ago I purchased a 95 se. Drove it for a while and it quit. At that time I was young, broke and didnt give a damn. The car was retired in hopes of project later in life. I have since bought a new frontier in 2007, which is a lil awesome btw. I'm thinking of trying to revive it now my girlfriend needs another vehicle her days are numbered with her 98 exploder. The car has been sitting for about 5 years. I do not know what caused it to die as I was broke and not in a situation to look at it myself. I was on the interstate about 80 and tried to accelerate and it didnt have as much pep as normal and then power went and it died. Afterward it wouldnt crank, looking back prolly a timing issue. transmission was shifting firmly then, but that was 5 years ago. Im plannin on rebuilding the motor, and doing whatever it needs to get it up to running again. Do you guys think it would be worth it? All I want is it to be back to oe specs. I would LOVE to do other stuff but time and money are against me. Thanks

Well that could be a number of things wrong. Your best bet is to use the Search button on the top left of the page. Search similar problems and use that knowledge to start guessing and checking things out. It could actually be a very minor problem. Just finding it is the key.

An engine needs 3 things to run: Spark, Fuel, and Air. First off I'd start wit the spark plugs, their color and condition may help you trace the problem but I would replace them regardless. Also check if you are getting spark, as well as your battery condition.

But if the engine wont turn over altogether and your cranking power is fine, it may be something more extensive and internal. Hope I helped a little
