There's like a pause in the upload process and there are some files types not supported, what was the extension?

youre right its the format. it doesnt accept bitmap formats. how do you change the format of a picture then?

You running windows? Open the pic in ms paint, click file, save as, and then, below the field where you enter the name under which to save the file, there is a pulldown menu which lists various file formats. Choose a high quality jpg (unless you're concerned about size...but jpegs suck compared to bitmaps) and then re-save the image. Then upload that one to imageshack.
