So we're bleeding my clutch today, because im getting absolutely no backpressure or return on my clutch, and we notice the clutch slave is leaking. Well that might explain why its not gettin pressure. So we replace it.

We rebleed the system, and notice theres still no pressure, and the level in the master is fluctuating with the pumping of the clutch, whereas it should just be draining out as we bleed. OK, so we go ahead and replace the master.

So we are rebleeding the system again, and we're 100% sure there is no air in, but somehow we're still getting no clutch!

I dropped the car off at my mechanic, and Im gonna have him pressure test it when he gets back tomarrow. I almost cried.

4 hours and 80 dollars later, I couldnt work today. I'm a courier. :(

sometimes those are a ***** to bleed. i know i had to pump on my clutch while someone added the fluid for probably 10min before i started getting pressure.

happened to me the exact same way.. the problem might be that the master is a hydraulic valve.. so theres no liquid behind it. first u pump like normal, and bleed like normal. then u get under the car and whilethe clutch pedal is all the way down, u push back AGAINST the little rod on your slave cylinderas hard as you can with both hands and u tell the guy to slowly let off the pedal WHILE your still pushing. try that a couple times and you should be good!

that little box is supposed to be a step up box. i forgot the real name for it. but it helps with pressure to the clutch.

i seen some thread where you by pass that. that might be the problem. but vboyq has a good idea. might wanna try that :)

sometimes the bubbles dont come out until theres something to shake it.

no, that little box is a damper. it just restricts the flow of fluid to smooth out the clutch operation. it makes bleeding clutches a PITA.

i like to use a hand vacuum pump to bleed brakes and clutches.

if you have a hand vacuum pump, get a glass jar with a metal top.

from a hobby shop, get screw-in line nipples. one normal, and one bulkhead style.

run some tubing from the bulkhead nipple to the bottom of the jar. run a line from the top of the bulkhead fitting, to the bleeder screw.

connect the vacuum pump to the nipple on the jar without the internal tube.

instant cheapo power bleeder.

adjust the rod on the back of the pedal , we had that same problem, dont pump it, just a slow up then down bleed, that should be it

u can bypass that little box with no problem..

just bend the hard line comingf rom the master to the little box all the way up to the slave rubber hose, carefully! then just remove the whole box and now u have a stiffer more responsive clutch pedal! makes u feel more in control in my opinion

same thing with my brothers. The key is to pump 'til you feel you'll lose your leg.
