I was pressing out my stock bushings and everything went well except the Socket that pushed out the old bushings slipped and HIT ;) myleft eyebrow and i got a BIG A$$ buise. But now I cant get the new bushings in. I even use the grease that came with it and everytime i pressed it down one side would go in but not the other side. How did u guys get yours pressed in??

Also for the control arms.... is it hard to remove and replace??

Could you maybe find someone who has something like an arbor press before you lose an eye? ;)

Seriously, if you're having a really tough time with it you might want to pay someone a few bucks to put them in using a press.

there was a link to the install to these, I forget where... BUT I do know that the guy used a vise...not one of those small vice-grips, but the one you mount onto a table. He put the TC Rod and the bushing in between the vise and slowly and evenly turned the vise's arm. That should push it in. I also think he put the socket behind the bushing, to ensure that everything goes in evenly...EG

(VISE) - TC Rod - Bushing - Socket - (VISE)

If anything else, SEARCH~! I'm sure the posting is still here somewhere....

I did two sets of these, your right they kept sliding around. It took a few trys, but once they started going in,even if they looked crooked, keep the pressure on , they would always straighten up, slide in.

I had mine pressed in and out at nissan where my friend is a tech :) Took all of 5 mins for both on their hydraulic press...

For the LCA are you talking about the bushings or just removal... I wrote a how-to sorta and was asked to do an official one but just never found the time as my famillies and my comps crashed a a host of other things at the time. Ill find the link in a minute...

HERE dont mind the spelling errors. I just noticed how bad it really is, hmmm mabey I should re-write one.
