I was pulling out of a parking lot, waiting for my turn and some guy driving a F150 4WD backed into me. He started griping about how small my car was, and I sweetly pointed out that ALL cards are small compared to his pickup! He didn't want me to call the police since he was in a company pickup, but I did. He just flat didn't look because he could have seen me out of his passenger side mirror. It was SOOOO his fault.

My back fender on the drivers side over the wheel is crinkled up. He hit the door, but it won't have to be replaced.

I've never even had an accident before. EVER. And I'm 48. Well...there was the time I ran into my dad's car in HIS driveway when I'm 16. But that doesn't count. And I'm stlil paying for that one.

ANYWAY, I'm so sad. My pretty car....

So...how on earth am I going to find a good body shop for a new car like this? Should I call the dealer to get a recommendation? I live so far out in the country, anywhere I go to get estimates is going to be an hour drive.I'm just sick.

hi Barbara, can we get a pic of your car?

it would help to assess the situation. In additional, there still isn't that much versa parts to go around so repair might take a while. I suggest you to work out the insurance issue first and see if a loaner car is possible at their expense...

good luck

After supper, I'll try to post a pic. It's going to be a nightmare. It's not like I just run to three body shops and get estimates. EVERYTHING is an hour away.

Thanks for responding!

I'm glad you called the cops and got a report... You should definitely make sure it gets fixed to your satisfaction, it is his fault.

Eager to see pics... poor V!

One way you can find out about body shops is to call the nearest city's BBB. You can find out what shops have complaints against them, and what shops don't. That's a place to start. Also, ask your Nissan dealer who they would reccommend.

Sorry to hear. I hate people in big trucks.. they pretty much all have the same attitude.

One time when I was 9 my dad let me drive our Toyota Corolla and I hit our tree and almost hit the house but since the car was on the grass my dad was holding the car and the tires were just spinning on in the mud. I just remember his yelling, "Hit the breaks!" I finally heard him and did
