Well I was driving, after repairing my control arms finally ..whoooo then all of a sudden subs kick out and check engine light comes on. So I drove over to a friends house who happens to have an ecu checker and it wouldnt even acknowledge anything, this is why I believe it's power related. He suggested a ground might be short..which I think could be likely, The factory radio harness won't deliver power, so i have a wire set right on the fuse going to the power wire on the back of the deck. Any suggestions as to which ground it may be? or if you believe it may be something else.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

It helps to know what car you're working on. Also I didn't understand what you were saying about the stereo harness.

lol it says in my profile, but yes I should have posted. 1995 nissan 240sx se. And forget what I said about the subs, stupid fuse was loose, and it then dawned on me to check the fuses on the panel under the dash. Turns out the battery fuse(7.5 amps) was blown. I also took the liberty of adding another ground to my battery. Replaced that and all was well.

so problem solved, thanks for taking the time to try to help though :P
