Since it's not really in the way, and there are no manual racks available as a bolt-in option...there's no reason to remove it...IMO.

I drove my friends SR w/o power steering, it's too much of a handful to try and run it on sharp cornered back roads.

I tried it, it sucks. No way your going without power steering unless it's drag only.

the power steering really doesnt get in the way. Plus its too convenient to kinda take off since its really making ur driving experience alot easier..................

car without power steering from the factory have special hinges to make it easier to turn.

like WD said if you are only dragging the car, with hardly any road use then it can make sense

for sure.... one of my friends civic del sol's had no power steering and it was fine to drive but it was designed with no ps in mind.... i drove a different del sol that originally had ps, and it was temporarily out of commission... it was soo freaking hard to drive.

mine has been without ps for a loooooong time now. Curvy roads don't bother me at all, but i've had years for my arm muscles to get acquainted with it. I'm putting ps back in now tho, so i'm wondering how badly i'm gonna oversteer for a while

Hey, my car originally had PS, but it ran low on fluid..assuming it was non-working. I took it off when I went to SR, it wasnt any different...I dont really notice it and I can handle some good corners in it. My 2cents.

Just run a lot of caster to increase steering effort and get rid of the overboosted nissan steering feel.

My sohc has no power steering and my dohc is fixing to be rid of it. Only trouble I've had is in spots where I'm going under 5mph

powersteering only robs you of a small amount of horsepower anyways. make for the loss w/ increasing boost and/or c16 race gas!hehe
