It was a 13.5 hr drive down there for me. Have an aunt in Lafayette, so me and friend's stayed with her. But it was 18.5 hrs back due to hurricane evacution.08.black.G37 wrote:Bad thing about our "home games" is that Baton Rogue is a 6 hour drive from here. We usually stay in New Orleans when we go to a home game. Let Harrah's pay for our rooms.
Our closer games are when we play Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Alabama, Vanderbilt or Arkansas.
Is that GA Tech? And $36 for all home games? Holy Crap.sc_coupe wrote:I'm so ready for football to start. GT starts the 5th, got my season tickets ($36), ready to go
Oh...I remember that game. We were like one of the only cars headed south on I55. They moved that game to 10am. Started drinking about 7 that morning. We hightailed it out of there right after the game. After Katrina, that area has a lot more respect for Hurricanes. BTW, they just said on the radio that that was 4 years ago today. There are still parts of N.O. that are boarded up and destroyed. It will never be the same again.biggie wrote:It was a 13.5 hr drive down there for me. Yeah, ruined a tailgating day. Tailgating from 7am til 9am or so ain't good. Especially when its 95 degrees, we almost died I think.08.black.G37 wrote:

I left at half time and went back to our tailgating spot. They have tents, fans and a big TV hooked up to a Satellite. Much better watching it on TV and drinking a cold beer! It was HOT!biggie wrote:Yeah, ruined a tailgating day. Tailgating from 7am til 9am or so ain't good. Especially when its 95 degrees, we almost died I think.
We left at 1am that Sunday morning, was horrible.
