Just wondering if it is possible - I used to have a Pioneer AVIC N2 in my previous car, and they would send a new set of DVDs once in a while.

What if roads change/made? Does the system in the G37 have the ability for updates? I asked the salesman during the test drive, and he said it was done via satellite - I think that may be BS... if that was the case CDDB could update album titles.

My salesman told me I'd have to bring the car in to the dealer, where they could upgrade the data to the hard drive.

Unless there's a way to upload new data via Compact Flash or CD, I think that's going to be the only way.

actually is does make some updates via sat such as new information about locations(phone numbers ect..) but for major updates you would need a new disk

Has anyone heard anything about updating the maps to the 2007 version?

I did talk to the company that supplies the updates. They said that there is an update, but the Infiniti has not finalized how they are going to implement it.

You will need to go to the dealer and have it done there since it is a hard drive update instead of DVD or CD.

Can someone who recently took delivery check the map version to see if they are shipping the 2008 Software version. Thanks.
