Will things get better and easier, or are we just going to spiral downwards with our economy issues, energy issues, and so forth, or are we spiraling down to our own demise, or will the grass be greener on the other side? I always try to remain optimistic, but its just bad news constantly, nothing looks like its going to get any better. It worries me too, cause soon, I'll be on my own, part of the workforce

Every era has it's issues.

All of ours will be fixed when I can figure out how to revive and reanimate Barry Goldwater so he can be President of the United States.

No, seriously, it would fix everything.

I personally believe it will get worse, potentially a lot worse, then it will pick back up and be great again for a while. But that's just me.

Keep in mind the frame of reference you guys are working from.

90% of our membership have never known a pres NOT named Bush / Clinton.

This is a mere blip on the radar. Not a crisis.

The market will recover, gas prices will level off (keep in mind, we were FAR below the world average for decades), housing issues will stabilize, and the wicked excesses of the 80's and 90's will finally be seen as the cause of most of our economic ills.

i agree. i was born in the mid 80s, so that applies to me as well. the reality is that things aren't that bad. they are just bad in comparison to the coke fueled 80s, and internet fueled 90s. the bubble burst in 2000, and it hasnt recovered, we have just forgotten. if the dollar wasnt so weak, the price of gas would be 2 bucks. think of how much that would do to help us.
