Hi,I was wondering if anyone know about these bulbs made by Matrix. The site is http://lightlens.net/bulbs.htm. Also i found a pair on ebay for $18 and that seems like a much better price than $40 for the sylvania silverstars. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...8515. Please let me know what you think.Daniel

Junk.

Probably not what you wanted to hear, but do a search here for "xenon" and "bulbs" and you'll get an eyeful.

Stick with PIAA's or SilverStars in your J - She's a picky lady, in more ways than one.

As Q45tech has stated, any bulb which is dyed will deliver less candle power for a given wattage than a clear bulb.

The dye means it is absorbing enrgy in all frequency spectrums other than the one transmitted, hence there is less light availble and the bulb is dimmer than it would be undyed.

If i get the silverstars would i need to use my bright lights often or would the white light of the silverstars be bright enough for night driving?

Based on specs that I've seen and posts written on the Philips Automotive Lighting board, the Silverstars seem to be the best blend of higher color temperature and decent light output of most dyed/colored bulbs on the market.

With that said, a stock "clear" bulb will probably put out more usable light - heck, look into higher wattage, clear rally bulbs and upgraded wiring harnesses if you want better light out of a halogen system.
