Also I hate to be that guy..but your question is so vague. Why do you want forged pistons. What are your intentions. What's the current condition of your engine. Why are you rebuilding. And most importantly what is your budget.
I totally get the dangers of browsing ebay, however i was only using it as a basic search tool...i fully intend on going to a shop and buying them locally, juts kinda using ebay to see what shops in the area north and south of me that have them.skywhine wrote:Why you would even be browsing Ebay..I don't know. You should probably stop that.
Good point about the .040 over! My block is torn apart, i have not miked it yet though so i should be able to go .020 over instead, im sorry for not posting that, i assumed everyone had read my 2+2 tt conversion rebuild thread. My apologiesskywhine wrote: However to my understanding wiseco is a quality company. But why commit to .040 before you have torn apart your engine and checked your bore. Once you go .040 theirs no re boring that block unless you sleeve it, which I don't know how popular that is on our motors.
I apologize again for the vagueness, forged pistions for my GSP-600 T-28 turbos and 555 injectors :-)...im afraid to mention my "budget" as anyone knows with theses cars, the ZED doesnt care how much you "want" to speand! :-)skywhine wrote: Also I hate to be that guy..but your question is so vague. Thank you for your reply! I hope to see some pics and posts of your build! Good luck!skywhine wrote: From the research I've done wiseco is on the cheaper side of quality pistons. You can easily spend over $1000 on pistons alone. Not including machine work and the actual rebuild of the engine. The rebuild IM looking at doing with wiseco pistons and BB turbos is going to be over $5000 just in parts...

Wiesco defines the defination of "best-bang-for-your-buck". IMHO wiesco pistons are the s***. Think about it, they are tried and true. I would venture to say they are the most widly used piston manufacture in the US.
I surely will! AS soon as the car is running i will do an initial review!TTkickedin wrote:post up a review on the gsp turbochargers. and dont like, not post about it 6 months to a yr down the road. be the first with a real review.
Thanks BigT...i will search those right now!BigTDogg (MA) wrote:Wiescos are fine. Many have used them without issue on good tunes to 600RWHP+
