Wasn't thinking of installing these but my 4 year old son keeps complaining about the sun.

Sorry for responding so late. I've been on holiday.
I'm not a fan of them, first of all. Fetucnini likes them so I got a pair. The tint significantly reduces heat, and the curtains slightly reduce the sunlight for the rear passengers. I purchased them on Ebay for about $30. They ship from California but the package is clearly from overseas.

The curtains I bought were 70cm wide. The 50cm size is not wide enough to cover the rear windows in my car and the 70cm is too wide. I trimmed them to custom fit my car (2007 M35). I really don't think these curtains will make a huge difference for your situation, but for $30 they may be worth a go.
Here is a little DIY if anyone is interested.
First thing is to peel off the 3M tape that comes with the rails - it's cheap and not very sticky. Go to Home Depot and buy the 20-pound test 3M tape in the paint section. Remember these have to stick to a textured surface and the tape supplied is way to flimsy to stick securely.
The curtain rails have one end that is plain and the other end has a small opening near the edge to insert the cutain nubs and a lock pin to keep them from sliding back out after inserting them.
IMPORTANT: The end with the small opening MUST be installed so when the curtains are gathered and wrapped, they do so at THAT end, not the regular end of the rail. That means on BOTH sides of the car, this small open end goes closes to the center pillar of the car. It means reversng the rails on one side with respect to the other.
SIZING:
The upper rail and the lower rail each must be cut to fit the window. It's a very simple process using a pair of very sharp heavy duty scissors or a tin snipper. You have to snip it close to the end with the opening to ensure the curtains slide freely along the rest of the rails. Multiple snips are best. Just gradually snip more and more until the rail fits snug and covers the entire length of the window frame, and the two separate pieces fit snug and align close as possible. Nobody will see this end as the curtains always hide it, so no worries that the snipping will show. The upper rails will need more snipping as the top of the window is shorter than the bottom.

After you have replaced the 3M tape and snipped the rails to fit properly, just install the curtains. Then install the loop that allows you to gather and clamp the curtains open. Replace the 3M tape supplied on this piece as well.
