RE audio is good for the price, and sorry dude but Eclipse sucks, nothing to get excited over.

plenty of subs out there with better power handling

Rockford T2 - 1000 watts RMSJL Audio - W7 (sloppy but loud) - 1000 watts RMSKicker Solobaric L7 - 1000 wattsRMSOrion - 3000 watts RMSCritical Mass UL12 - 2500 RMS

also, magnet size only correlates to power handling with ferrite magnets, neo magnets can be EXTREMELY small, and have tremendous power handling

To the OP, there are better subs out there for around the same price..

do you wnat the steup in a sealed or ported box?

well, the airspace requirements fit perfectly... I say go ahead and give em a try.... what kind of amplifier are you gonna use to push em? that JL500/1 is NOT gonna cut it for two of these subs!

This might be a little off topic but are you going to use the stock radio or do you have an aftermarket radio already? I'm going reuse my 10" Alpine type Es from my old car with the alpine mrp-m500. I know it's not the best sub but I just wanted something with a little more bass in my car.Type E 10" * Power Range: 100W-250 Watts * RMS Power Handling: 250 Watts * Peak Power Handling: 750 Watts Frequency Response: 29Hz-1000Hz

If you want something really crazy, you could get Alpha Sonik. My friend bought the Alpha Sonik for his Audi A3 and it cost him almost like 3 grand. It was so loud that it made my ears pop. IMO it was too damn loud for me. I have a Rocksford P3S w/ a 1200 watt amp. Good enough sound for me.

I have one of those subs in my trunk and I love it. I paid 75 for the 10, you should be able to find a deal around that if you look around. I have seen them on caraudio.com's classifieds for around that price.
