Are these covered under warranty?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Well, my 3 years is coming up next month on my EX35 and I'm wondering if the following is covered under warrant y for repair:

one of the hinges on the flip cover for mirror on passenger side visor broke
there's a definite buzz coming from the passenger side front door speaker...very very annoying

Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks!

If it the damage doesn't seem to be forced or intentionally or abuse/misuse like lets say a buzzing speaker (obviously unless you physically beat on it) it is more than likely cover under warranty.

FYI, our 2008 EX35 bumper to bumper warranty is 4 year / 60,000 miles.

BTW, same thing happened to ours too. 4 days ago when my wife flip that vanity mirror cover open, the whole cover fell off . Infiniti still wants us to bring the car for an oil change when it`s due and they will take a look at it. I would assume they will replace the whole passenger visor.

I had both of the sun visors on my 2008 EX replaced under warranty because of broken hinges on the mirror covers. They were broken when I bought the car (used) and I didn't notice it until a week or so later. It's a common problem and the dealer replaced them for no charge.

The defective speaker should also be covered.

The warranty is from the the manufacturer, not the dealer.

There was a bulletin (not recall) a while back for this.

Simple fix, just an updated cover. For those out of warranty the part is only like $15 and takes a minute to install.
