Yes the car has dual air bags, but I guess there is the possibility that someone has removed them and filled the openings with something??? If that's the case, there should be some other things wrong witht he car, as the seller would be trying to "cheat" you.

Maybe we aren't understanding your question??

Diificult post to read given the partial punctuation.

If the airbags are removed, the dash display should display an airbag light, unless it has been defeated.

Things like this is why one wants an Infiniti Service Technician to inspect the car. What does the dealer performed service history say? Always get that before even looking at the car so you have an idea where your inspection should focus.

It sure would be cost effective to have a tech examine 10 for sale Q @ $150 each than to buy one lemon that need $10,000 worth of work.

Not sure that the average buyer could find the $10,000 or even the $3,000 needed. Spending 40-80 hours reading this forum probably could save you a few weeks pay at least!

A good rule of thumb [on a 10 year or older Q] is to subtract the asking price from $10,000 and add $3,000 to guesstimate what needed to bring the Q back to near new.

Every used car is sold because it needs at least $3,000 unless it is purple.

Everytime you say this, I disagree.

Not true in every case.

You are right. My beautiful, well maintained 1994 Q45 required $4,500 to get it where it is today, and that was doing most of the work myself!

.. and not to mention the $6500 that went into my last Q before I got the one I have now... Which was bought from a Nico member that spent a good $3500 on it, which I am also now $1200 into that car now...
