I'm here once in a blue moon. The site has such light traffic for the SE-R and Spec V that I'm mostly on the Vboard or b15sentra.

SE-R fanatic here.

I'm on my 2nd B-series car, I went S14 for awhile, but I'm back and building the B14. I'm down for the NICO meets. Let me know when/where I need to show.

With those mods on the Spec you should be able to see high 14s on the stock Contis as long as you can pull a 2.1 60ft 14.8s or so should be possible.

^agreed. I haven't seen many spec's run. There was one at my local track with a 50 shot in it, but he wasn't running it on the juice. He was running 15.2's all motor so it woulda been very quick if it were on the bottle while running.

I still haven't been to the track. I got a new catback exhaust on there. Sounds much much better (used to be just a muffler, sounded like a$$). I felt a little bit of a difference in the higher RPM's, nothing huge. I want to run it, but I got the car so late in the year that the track I never was able to make it to Beech Bend before they closed it. I'll go first thing next year. I'm a pretty decent driver, so I'm hoping for high 14's. Most likely before next years season opens, I'll have balance shaft removal and a grounded o2 sensor, possibly cams. I can't wait.

I just installed my JWT balance shaft removal kit this weekend.First of all i would like to say, if you plan for this kit to go in quick, think again. It took me 4 hours and I had to be very resourceful.I am a master tech, and this kit need a little tweaking. The aluminum spacer that looks like a square block w/a dowell pin on it, the corner needs to rounded off so it will sit flat against the hole where the dowell pin goes. I dont know if it was just my kit, or my motor, but it had to ground down a little. The instructions say dont use a cutting wheel because of metal chips and stuff.... I found that if you cut the chain on the balancer gear, if you angle the cutting wheel right , no metal will go in the engine, I used a little contact cleaner just to spray out any particles just to be clean and through. It doesnt matted if you damage the balancer shaft assembly, because you will not use this anymore. Also, this assembly is a tight fit, but it will come out, the dowell pins that are used for the balancers are the reason for any hold up you have, so look carefully at the pins.I used a flat headed screw driver to remove the part of the tensioner that rides on the chain. I busted this out of the way, to get at the 10mm bolt that you have to remove to remove the tensioner. i used a screw driver, a long one, to get the chain off of the crank.
