Are there any differences between the 95' and 96' ?

Some of u may know that i got ****ed out of the 96' 240 iwas gonna buy. I'm still searching and I've found soome nice prices on a few 95s. What I wanna know is what are the differences (if any) between the 95 and 96 years?

Any links you can provide would also be helpful........I'm gonna go check 240sx.org real quick, but feel free to post ur replies anyway.,Thank you.

Different grille for one thing. The 95 has a slotted one I guess you could say, and the 96 is open. The ECU is different too. 95 has a pre-OBD-II computer kinda. It's OBDII, but it sucks. The 96 is full-blown OBD-II. Other than those, I don't know any. I'd be interested to hear some more though.

so how does the 95 ECU affect performance?Has anyone driven both cars? And if so, what did u difference did u notice between the two?

Both car smake the same HP at the same RPMs.The 95 ECU is Pre OBD-II based on the programming language used in it.Otherwise, almost all other values are the same in both ECUs.

The 95 and 96 drive about equally too.But both the ones I've driven have been Automatics...

Only because it has the REAL OBD-II (On Board Diagnostics) It doesn't make the car perform any better... it's just the language it uses for diagnostic purposes. OBD-II readers are more advanced and user friendly in some ways... so OBD-II is "better"
