Please see the post above from Normandeeley. The book says that the fuel level should be at the dot on the sight glass while the engine is idling. The car won't idle so,,,,, I start it, starts easy enough, but won't idle well, have to keep the revs up, 1500+. ten second later the carb floods.. When the engine dies the carb continue to spew fuel out of , what Im guessing is the over flow tube, small tube in the top of the card. Please , if you know carbs, hit me back with your thoughts.

Thanks

Norman

Is it an electric fuel pump? Anyway it sounds like a float problem. Keep bending the tab on the float up a little at a time, replacing the cover and checking to see if the fuel remains at the dot on the sight glass.
