Are the Unlock/Lock buttons supposed to light up?

Hey Guys,

I just got my nissan rogue 2009 SL awd and while driving at night i noticed the buttons on my driver side door for locking/unlocking dont turn on the only thing I see that lights up is the A for the auto window roll down/up. is this normal? or are one of my fuses out? I have never owned a car where the main buttons such as lock/unlock on the driver side door dont light up just thought it was a bit odd. Thanks in advance!

the only thing that my 2008 lights up is the drivers window on the master switch. i think we lost the feature your talking about for our steering wheel buttons to be illuminated = WIN!

It's funny I was just looking down at my buttons the other day and thought to myself "Why does the lock button light up but not the unlock?"
(I have a 2011)
Other than that one I only have the drivers side window button illuminate. I really don't understand why they all don't illuminate unless it's some master plan that you shouldn't be rolling down any other windows at night?
