You should think about just getting a powered subwoofer. That will take care of your volume problems. Turn the bass way down on the Bose system and let the subwoofer handle it = higher volume with great sound, equalized specifically for the Q45 cabin.slybydesignq45t wrote:I am not looking for a super loud sound system, and am extremely happy with what a OEM Bose system can do for cabin enjoyment. What I have noticed is that on certain songs the base peaks out as if it was turned up to high. It would be equal to being in the recording studio and having some ones vocals red-line which even though the volume is low or on mids their pitch is to high.
Then on other songs all the levels are great.
Always better to keep any Equaliser or tone controls set to neutral.....notice how true high end home audio preamps dont even have basic tone controls{bass & treble}slybydesignq45t wrote:Ok this may be stupid of me but I fixed the problem. I guess I had the EQ set on Hip-Hop in on my iPod. I never used an iPod till a couple of days ago. I turned off EQ all together and everything sounds fine again.
My only disposition at this point with a CD player is expense related. Considering my option (Free iPod Nano) or paying for the a new CD changer I choose the free iPod. I do plan however to purchase some time in future a double din touch screen which comes with all the options one can ask for, including in dash DVD and CD changer. For the rest of the year I will have to enjoy the free iPod nano. I am looking into other options as well. I have a strong theory that the iTouch will make a perfect 3.5" touch screen option. Other options include digital radio receiver. But the iTouch has video out features making car entertainment situation inviting. I am still thinking of how the to design a place holder for it in the any car replacing the factory radio all together. I do know that they make a cable that replaces the CD changer for an internal Ipod hook up. Its like $75 bucks.maxnix wrote:One of the reasons I recommend the CD player option if available is the format is a lot less lossy than MP3 encoding and better than FM for stereo separation and better than both FM and CD for frequency spectrum bandwidth.
Your right. Since this is my first experience with an Ipod I learned the hard way.........LOL. I am gonna keep my eyes open in the next couple of months on what technology is doing, because companies will start putting out more products that incorporate functions of driving hands free, music, and GPS to compete with the new 3G I-Phone. The new iPhone, can easily replace head units based on the big screen and GPS features. But I will wait and see whats next.qship96 wrote:
