Well a year ago I got a chip from ebay (yeah I know) and my car has been rich ever since. I got a safc to try and lean things out but it seems like it's too rich for the Safc to handle. I have the usual mods when needed on ebay: T28bb turbo, 450cc injectors, z32maf and fuel pump and front mount intercooler. I removed butterflies and have ka24de throttle body. I'm wondering if the z32 fuel pump is over running the stock regulator? Or if the eprom was a bust. If anyone has had good results from chipping please let me know. Thanks

As suggested, get a Nismo or Sard FPR and a liquid filled fuel pressure gauge to install under the hood and get your fuel pressure set correctly.

Usually the eBay chips are copies of turners chips. Unless the chip is written specifically for your mods, they're going to be variables like the issues you're having. I purchased an eMance chip from eBay and it made my car run lean, I had to increase the fpr from 36psi to 40psi to run it.

As trevr said, most of those chips change some VERY basic things in the tune for the injectors and MAFS and that's it. They are also quite possibly copies of "good" tunes.

There is nothing wrong with them, but it's quite probable that the car won't run perfectly with a generic chip.

Is there a local shop who can dyno tune it?

I'm in Greensboro NC. Everyone I have come across say they can do everything but then I end up being a guinea pig.

As long as they've chip tuned Nissan's, you're fine.
