Sup guys i know some of you guys are running on test pipes and so am i. I've had them on for 4 months now and I'm just sick of that smell haha and I also have that thingy on where it fools the o2 sensor so the maintenance required won't show up. Is it bad to have test pipes in your car for a while?

My take on test pipes...

They add 1-2 whp at peak over high flow cat. So I'd prefer to stay legal and not willingly hurt the environment. But I did run a test pipe on my 240 and Skyline for a total of 5 years...lol. So I'm definitely not the green police

As far as being bad for the car, I can't see how it could be. You're just not removing crap from the combustion burn. My current builds all involve a highflow cat and maybe an exhaust cutout for the dyno/drag strip. Mostly because I occasionally make it back up to Mass and I can't afford a ticket "if" I ever got checked. Not likely I know...but I can weld so a DIY highflow install is to easy not to do.

Won't hurt the car at all. But like Brian said, it's not worth the extra 1-2 HP...I hate that smell too
