I just got my first 240. not my first nissan though. Iwould have picks but I have to go pickit up still. got an 89 s13 hatch with ka24e. for $500. i thought it was a steal 126k on it and a brand new transmission. Well I had a few questions about the car cause i'm doing it diy,and i asked them and got some responce.but what i noticed is the distaste for new people around here. really this is supposed to be for nissan fans. and you guys act all high and mighty cause you been tuning the same cars for 10-12 years. I doubt theres to many 16yr olds that talk s***. mainly they don't have the flow. but you guys are adults. act like it. so what if some one just joined and has questions. thats what this s*** is about. by they to those of you who help thanks.

just ignore the flamers. some preople seem to get off by bein total asses to other people.

Also rember to search befor you ask a question nothin seems to get peoples pantys in a bunch faster then some one askin a super simple question that they could of found the answer to in like 10 seconds of searching.

If you have searched and still couldent find the info your lookin for or info that was accurate or / detailed enough then feel free to ask and if people flame just ignore em.

All they do is waste there time and everyone elses.

Have you been on any other car forums before?

Look at it this way, the people that have been working on these cars for the last 10 years, have been answering the same questions for the last 10 years. ALL THE TIME.

You say that people are these people are acting immature, and that may be true. But by not searching and getting angry just because people aren't telling you exactly what you want to hear isn't any better.

You live you learn, just take it like a grain of sand and move on. Don't let that stuff ruin your day. Like they say though, search and then ask if you can't find a answer to your liking, that will help to avoid some problems with these guys/gals.

thanks guys i apreciate the support i know people can be asses an I know some of these guys have been answering the same questions for years and i understand their frustration. trust me im a tattoo artist and you know how sick i am of some questions. but still as a professional and some who knows it's myplace to amke sure people get educated and have the right info. but anyway the diy stuff i wanted to do is all of it. I only have limited experience working on cars. but i want the pride of knowing i did it all. im not looking to race i prolly never put it on a track but I would like to hold my own when it comes down to it. plus i want a super clean looking s13 nothing fancy no body kit or stickers an s***. but like i said thanks for the support.

keyboard cowboys strike again!...fear not nicco resident..the average guy will rescue you from your fears!...lol..who cares what others say about you or your ride...those folks make them selves feel bigger that they are by putting others down..insted of giving advise {allthou there are those who need the occational wake up call to prevent long term damage to the forums}..most of us guys and gals here have good advise and like to help others...just wade throu the crap to find your nuggets.....each nicco-head brings some form of information..but not all information..one guy may have info on valve lash..while another guy may know nothing about that but could be amazing with electronics...if you dont get a responce to a good question rite away..remeber to cut folks slak as they live busy lives and come to a forum to relax or reaserch themselves for there projects...hope your frame of mind is improved and that you enjoyed my message even with my horrible {insert french accent here } spelling..

thats true bro..but we shouldent unless its a non-nube and a repeat offender ...for the newbs (new guys and gals) we should cut them some slack..and nurse them to do things properly..so they will stick around and inform there friends who allso may love nissans like we do...this has 2 advantages the way i see it..

#1.) Better condition cars: if you buy a car from an informed nissan lover, you get a better buy and its in better condition than the average kids ride.

#2.) higher resale value: due to better condition of a tuners car -vs-mods...to a nicco head there is more of a value than say from a regular seller who knows d!ck about whats moded..

so in short..informing other owners the proper way of doing a mod or just basic needs keeps our cars in top shape for possible resales to tuners/guys like us later on...

i guess i think in a different way

Something we ALL can do when we tell ANYBODY to serch, is to give them sugested search terms. Some people just dont enter the correct search term and never find what they need. Others just have a skill of entering the correct term right off.

"Search for S13 SR20 engine swap" is a better answer than "Search" or "Use the search button"
