I am looking to buy a stock intake pipe for my DOHC s13. I found one on ebay but it's from a SOHC. It looks to be the same. Will it work?

maybe determined easily by your or me, but maybe he doesnt know as much about cars. A lot is similair in the models. I just think he had a normal question that shouldnt be made to make him feel like hes stupid or anything else.

Because I don't know the difference between a sohc and a dohc intake means I don't know a lot about cars? What if I was a GM tech and didn't know about Nissans?

And no, I didn't know that aftermarkets weren't interchangable. I've never even seen under the hood of a sohc. But I know my way around the engine bay of my '91 like the back of my hand.

haha, u guys r soo testy...

me not rude, just answered simply w/ 1 werd...

GM... Y did the 97 cavalier 2.2L automatic transmission dipstick missing?I'm guessing that they don't wanna let the layman owner to touch this thing/overfill it/ & cause all sorts o trouble.

my sis' car is rounding 82K & i know it's synthetic fluid in there; the gasket/pan area is starting to "sweat" fluid.

thanx in advance

lol, I'm not really a GM tech. I do have some advice for you though, sell the cav and get a nissan.

agh, u faker!

nah, that cav is pretty good; all i do to it is regular maintenance & it takes her from point A--> B w/ no problems whatsoever.

it was a biatch changing the wires since the wires to the coil packs are snugly behind the transverse engine & firewall, making me curse the job while fumbling w/ it...

plus, that engine is on a timing chain & what's weird: it is a pushrod engine; the valve cover is only an inch high & when i did a vc cover gasket job on it, i was amazed that there wasn't an overhead valve cam staring @ me upon removal.

the simple answer is no, the intake in the dohc comes up at an angle, as the plenum is on the under side of the runnerson the sohc, its on the upper side and has no angle.
