Are RB20 and RB25 oil pans the same?

Discuss the RB20, RB25 and RB26 series engines.

I need a new RB20DET oil pan, but mostly I find RB25 pans for sale. Anyone know if they will fit the RB20?

Are the RB25 pans the same size/shape? I need it to clear the swaybar like the original one does.

Btw, there's one for sale on ebay that says it fits RB20/25/26.

Hey I had to get a new pan for my RB20 too, and I used an RB25 pan. It is the exact same dimensions and works perfect. Only difference is the RB25 pan has baffles in the bottom.

My RB20 pan has baffles too. Thanks for the info, tho. Guess I'll go buy an RB25 pan.

As you can see they are nearly identical. I was referring to the baffles in the bottom of the pan near the back. Anyway it will work fine for you

I'm sure it's the S1/S2 thing but nissan has the same part number for the rb20 and rb25. so they are the same. I slap em on all the time. I wish there was just a few less bolts in these pans though. 30 bolts is a little overkill
