first off, i have a 92 s13 hatch. i daily-drive the car, but do not baby it by no means. i guess i use it for "high-performance stret driving." im pretty interested in getting the d2 coilovers in the group buy, for $615. these come with rear pillow ball mounts, and the front pillowball mounts with camber adjustablity are $80 extra. my first question is; what are pillowball mounts and what do they do? are there definate advantages to having them, and if so is it worth the $80? also, what would be a better spring rate for my application 9/7 or 7/5? i appreciate all the help i can get.

for street dirving, 7/5 kb/mm rates are going to be better, with lighter vavling also, and pillow balls are "heim joints" at the top of the strut mount, increasing the suspensions "effectrive range" or allowing a small degree of movement, and with the front you can use them to adjust camber, which when lowering the 240 is always nice.

I'd get them since they're cheap and good to have, but they are not "necessary"-chet

Can you please tell me where this group buy information is located. I am getting ready to buy some new suspension components myself and it really sounds like a bargain.

Thanks!

b/s/t forum.

However, the rears dont come with pillow ball mounts. They come with aluminum "top mounts" which are required for installation. These top mounts have a rubber bushing, so they can't really be considered pillow-ball. and for your information, they don't have pillowball mounts available in the rear...
